How servo motors work
The principle of operation of a servo motor is relatively simple, but its efficiency is relatively high. The servo circuitry is built inside the motor unit, which uses a flexible shaft usually equipped with gears. Electrical signals control the motor and also determine the amount of movement of the shaft. The internal setup of a servo motor is simple: a small DC motor, a control circuit and a potentiometer. The DC motor is connected to the control wheel via a gear, and as the motor rotates, the resistance of the potentiometer changes, and the control circuit is able to accurately regulate movement and direction.
Three-phase asynchronous motors with single-layer windings
Single-layer winding is a winding in which only one effective side of the coil is embedded in each slot of the stator, thus its total number of coils is only half of the total number of slots in the motor. The advantages of single-layer winding are that the number of winding coils is small and the process is relatively simple; there is no interlayer absolute edge so that the utilization rate of the slot is improved; the single-layer structure will not occur between the phase breakdown faults. The disadvantage is that the electromagnetic waveform generated by the winding is not ideal, the motor's iron loss and noise are larger and starting performance is also slightly worse, so the single-layer winding is generally only used for small-capacity asynchronous motors. Single-layer winding in accordance with the shape of its coil and end connection part of the arrangement of different, can be divided into chain winding, cross-chain winding, concentric winding and cross concentric winding and other forms of winding.
Starting of three-phase asynchronous motors
1、Direct starting However, the current of three-phase asynchronous motor can reach 6-7 times of the rated current when starting directly, which has a big impact on the power grid, especially for the high-power motor. 2、Frequency sensitive resistance starting Frequency-sensitive resistance starting refers to connecting frequency-sensitive resistance in series in the main circuit when the motor starts, so as to reduce the starting current. Frequency sensitive resistance can change the starting current smoothly, the impact on the power grid is small, it is a more ideal way to start. However, high-power frequency sensitive resistors are used in the form of inductance, so in use will produce a large electromagnetic eddy current, will reduce the power factor of the grid.
